Epson chooses Zope and Plone
15 years ago Epson Electronics Americas (EEA) Executive Director for New Business Roy DaSilva decided to choose Zope application server and Plone content management system for the maintenance of the Seiko Epson Corporation Website. This turned to be great, meeting all the company requirements. Thanks to this happy choise, which has been pushed by the American Navy adoption of Zope, today the portal is really easier to use. Moreover because of the possibility to enter content directly on the web site, maintenance costs are very lower. HP considers open-source services
Hewlett-Packard is considering selling services designed to ease customer participation in the open-source programming community, the company's new open-source boss said.
