Plone Conference 2013 Coming to Brasília, Brazil
Plone Conference 2013, with pre-conference training and post-conference sprints, takes place September 30-October 6 in Brasília, Brazil. Attendees also are invited to the Caipirinha Sprint, October 8-11.
Joint Plone Sprint between Munich and Cape Town in January 2013

EU: Rise in use of EUPL for publishing open source software
The European Union's open source licence, (European Union Public Licence, EUPL) is being used more and more. A quarter of the projects available on the European Commission's software development site, the OSOR Forge, 47 out of 183 projects, are published using the EUPL. On Sourceforge, a commercial venture for open source software development based in the US, the licence is now selected by 49 projects. One year ago there were none.
Cenatic report: "Europe leading in development and use of open source"
Europe is leading in the development and adoption of open source, according to a report by Cenatic, Spain's national competence centre on this type of software, published yesterday at an IT conference in Palma de Mallorca. "Government support is key for the adoption of open source."
